A public adjuster is a licensed and bonded insurance authority whose sole purpose is to represent the interest of the policyholder. The public adjuster does not work for an insurance carrier or an independent insurance company but for the policyholder only. They are retained to represent the home or commercial owner to protect their financial interests in the settlement of insurance claims.

The public adjuster represents the policy holder such as an attorney would a client. They interpret each insurance policy as they apply to each specific loss. They compile damage reports and prepare estimates and then present the information to the insurance company adjuster to negotiate MAXIMUM settlement.
